Powder Butterfly

Kind Currency is excited to unveil another of the first five founding businesses to support its Community Interest Company – Powder Butterfly

Powder Butterfly is a design studio and retailer offering a delightful range of British homeware items. Ideal for gifts or for use in the home, the contemporary style of the products features different locations, many from right here in the North East where the Kind Currency pilot is launching later this year.

Owned by Corinne Lewis-Ward, Powder Butterfly products started with the iconic Angel of the North and now feature landmarks including Tyne Bridge, Sage Gateshead, Baltic Flour Mill and the Millennium Bridge. More recent collections focus on London (Corinne’s hometown although she now lives in the North East), Whitley Bay, York, Farne Islands and Durham. Corinne said:

“The purpose of my business is to deliver quality, meaningful, artisan gifts that stand the test of time and can be passed down through the family. To connect people to the places they love and also to support British manufacturing via the clever companies that produce my designs.

“To be part of Kind Currency is a great way to reach out to those who believe in the future of what I do, who want to collaborate to make the world kinder, and to celebrate Michelle’s innovative vision to raise funds for much needed causes.”

Powder Butterfly has a range of stunning homeware, jewellery and gifts which are gender neutral. Corinne also has capacity within the brand to create bespoke gifts for customers and clients who want to make their loved ones, staff and clients feel extra special.
